Does Infiniti finance used cars?

Yes, IFS's purchase program offers financing for pre-owned Infiniti and non-Infiniti vehicles that are up to five years old, and have less than 125,000 kms. subject to credit approval by IFS.

How much can I get for my trade-in?

Your trade-in value depends on a number of factors, including the vehicle model, year and condition. You can also get a general idea of your car's worth by checking independent car value guides. However, a vehicle survey by your Infiniti dealer is always necessary to determine the final trade-in value.

Can I make more money selling my car on my own, versus trading it in with a dealer?

While in some cases you may be able to make more money selling it on your own, trading your car in to a dealer offers several advantages. You are likely to get immediate cash or credit. Your dealer will handle the paperwork and might pay off your current loan/lease. And you won't have to deal with some of the hassles associated with selling a car on your own. No running ads, no title transfer paperwork, no strangers in your car, and no bad checks.

How do I contact IFS by phone?

If you are calling from Eastern Canada (Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, PEI or Newfoundland) you can contact IFS at 1-800-268-6499.
If you are calling from Western Canada (Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, Yukon, Northwest Territories, or Nunavut) you can contact IFS at 1-800-268-0746.

The credit bureaus will help you investigate any issue in your credit file. You may contact them at:

Can I skip or defer the payment on my account?

Your account may qualify for a payment extension. Please contact our Customer Service Department at 1-800-268-6499 (Eastern Canada) or 1-800-268-0746 (Western Canada), Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.

What if I can no longer afford the payments on my account?

If you cannot afford to make your monthly payments, contact the IFS Collections Department or your dealer immediately and explain your situation. Your dealer may be able to trade you into a more affordable vehicle.

Will IFS allow another party to take over the payments on my account?

Subject to credit approval, yes. If you would like to have another party assume the payments on your existing contract, that party would submit a credit application through your local Infiniti dealer to IFS for review. Be aware that if the applicant is approved, you are not released of your contractual obligation and will remain on the contract as guarantor. After the credit approval is granted, IFS will send the Infiniti dealer an Assignment and Assumption Agreement for all parties to sign and add the applicant to your contract. Please contact our Customer Service Department for more information. You may reach a Customer Service Associate by calling 1-800-268-6499 (Eastern Canada) or 1-800-268-0746 (Western Canada), Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. There is a $500.00 plus applicable GST and Provincial taxes fee for each Assignment or Assumption.

How can I find out the balance on my account?

Contact IFS Customer Service at 1-800-268-6499 (Eastern Canada) or 1-800-268-0746 (Western Canada), Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. IFS does not provide this information over the phone but we will mail it to you at the address we have on file within one business day.

How do I notify IFS if I am moving?

Please notify IFS Customer Service of your new address and telephone number by calling 1-800-268-6499 (Eastern Canada) or 1-800-268-0746 (Western Canada), Monday through Friday, between 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. You should also notify the Infiniti dealer where you purchased your vehicle.

My name recently changed (marriage, divorce, etc). How do I update the name on my account?

Please send written verification of your legal name change, such as marriage license or divorce decree to:

Can I pay more than the monthly payment amount?

Yes. If you would like to make a principal payment to your loan balance, please see instructions below. By following these procedures, you will help us to ensure that we correctly apply your payment. Once we have processed the payment, we will provide you with written confirmation of the payment and remaining balance. Please make out a separate check for the amount you want to apply to your principal balance. Please note in the “Memo” or “For” line of your check the account number and the words “principal only payment” Mail check to the following address:

Will my late payment be reported to the credit bureaus?

IFS is obligated to report any payment received more than 30 days past the due date.

If I am sending a check, where do I mail my payment?

IFS requires that all lease and loan clients make their regularly scheduled monthly payments by Pre- Authorized Payment Plan (PAPP) by providing a cheque from your account marked VOID. PAPP is convenient, economical (no postage fees) and ensures that your payment will go through on the correct date each month. Prior approval from IFS is required for any exceptions. Payments other than the regular monthly payment may be sent to:
