Safety

SET THE PACE
Intelligent Cruise Control kept your desired distance from the car ahead. It automatically decelerated your vehicle when traffic slowed and resumed your pre-set speed once the way is clear. This system helped pave the way for INFINITI ProPILOT Assist, our latest suite of driving innovations. You can find it on newer models like the All-New QX50.
REACT INSTANTLY
Forward Collision Warning monitored the vehicle ahead, alerting you when a collision was imminent. If the system sensed danger, Intelligent Break Assist stepped in, automatically applying the brakes to help you avoid impact.
STAY THE COURSE
Lane Departure Warning and Prevention (LDP) monitored lane markings and alerted you when you started to drift. If you continued to cross over the lines, the system eased you back to the centre of your lane without fully taking over control.
MAINTAIN CONTROL
Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) let you travel more confidently on slippery roads. If you swerved, this innovative feature helped correct your steering. Working with the Traction Control System (TCS), it applied individual brakes and adjusted engine output to reduce wheel spin on treacherous terrain. These advanced safety technologies are also available on the QX50.
HEIGHTENED AWARENESS
The Around View Monitor (AVM) with Moving Object Detection (MOD) let you see more as you park. It used four cameras; this World’s First Technology gave you a virtual 360° view of your vehicle from above. It alerted you when something was moving nearby, so you could manoeuvre confidently, no matter the space. This system is available on every INFINITI. PROTECTED ON EVERY SIDE
INFINITI’s Advanced Airbag System (AABS) used cutting-edge technology to help protect you in a collision. Dual-stage supplemental front airbags inflated at different rates, according to impact and seat belt usage to keep you safe in a variety of situations. Your INFINITI comes with airbags mounted to the seats and roof for greater protection.
